3703222 - BTP Cloud Foundry application is inaccessible on older iOS devices after DigiCert G5 certificate update

Symptom

  • End users with Apple devices running with iOS versions < 18 experience connection errors when accessing the Cloud Foundry application URL.
  • Error message might be similar like "Safari can't open the page because it couldn't establish a secure connection to the server."
  • Issue started after the automatic certificate update from DigiCert Global Root G2 to DigiCert TLS RSA4096 Root G5 as described in note 3566727- Root Certificate Replacement in the SAP BTP, Cloud Foundry Environment
