3703273 - Error when accessing or updating SAP Knowledge Provider -SAP Document Management Service Integration

Symptom

  • Unable to access any file or document from DMS
  • Users can not attach or retrieve documents from S4 system (SDM integration with S/4)
  • Error message observed: "An error occurred when uploading to SAP knowledge Provider" or 'System error when accessing Knowledge Provider'
  • Below ICM Trace error is noticed:
    • ERROR => SSL handshake with sap-dms.authentication.xxxx.hana.ondemand.com:443 failed: SSSLERR_PEER_CERT_UNTRUSTED (-102)
    • Peer's X.509 certificate (chain) validation failed (missing trust?)##SapSSLSessionStartNB()
    • ERROR: The chain of certificates is incomplete or untrusted, missing certificate of CN=DigiCert G5 TLS 
    • PKI validation: FAILED: Validation of dependents - Issuer Certificate (ERROR: Issuer - No Certificates Found)

Note: This issue happens since the latest PKI change of BTP root certificate.
