3703527 - Error While Applying Eligibility Rule "There was an unexpected error during the process. Please contact Technical Support"

Symptom

  • An error occurs when applying the eligibility rule.

  • Error persists despite deleting and re-adding the rule.
  • Starting point for eligibility: All employees.
  • Template starting point: All employees are eligible (Rules to EXCLUDE).

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Compensation Home.
  2. Go to Plan Set Up.
  3. Access Manage Plan Details.
  4. Open Manage Form Eligibility rules.
  5. Click Apply.

Cause

The issue is caused by values with commas in the UDF under the field that is defined in the eligibility rule. 

Resolution

    1. Export current UDF data
    2. Remove commas from numerical values in affected column
    3. Save the UDF file
    4. Re-import the corrected UDF
    5. Test eligibility rule

Prevention: Ensure all numerical fields in UDF contain only numeric values without formatting characters (commas, currency symbols, etc.) before importing.
