3703664 - Accessing Loading step for Outbound Delivery flow in S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• Unable to access the Loading step in the outbound delivery flow.
• Picking and Loading to be executed via RF Device.
• Expected Process Flow: OBD → Picking → Packing → Loading → Goods Issue

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Create an Outbound Delivery and distribute it to EWM successfully.
2. Execute Picking and Packing steps.
3. Attempt to access the Loading step in the outbound flow.
4. Observe that the Loading step is not triggered or accessible.
5. Attempt RF-based Loading execution and observe that it is not determined.
6. Post Goods Issue without executing the Loading step.

• There is no mandatory loading step based on process-oriented storage control (POSC) as POSC is not available in the Public Cloud.
• Loading is available but only with a status change at the HU level and not via a warehouse task.

1. “To enable loading in SAP Public Cloud, RF loading is supported only for ASR scenarios and requires proper configuration, including a valid freight order, maintained loading point, activation of the loading step, and RF loading execution settings.”
2. “Loading as a separate step is supported in the EWM Public Cloud Starter System, but it only updates the status and does not provide any warehouse orders or tasks.” 
3. “RF-based loading is supported in the Starter system only for ASR scenarios; for non-ASR cases, the system does not support loading and displays the message ‘Can't load goods for deliveries not relevant to Advanced SR. (/SCWM/RF_DE524)’.”
4. “In SAP Public Cloud, loading is not implicitly combined with either packing or goods issue and remains a separate process.”

There are no loading warehouse orders/tasks created automatically.

Loading is typically handled by Transportation Management (TM) through Advanced Shipping and Receiving (ASR) with freight orders and the Load or Unload Freight Orders app (for desktop).
 
The RF screens for loading appear in documentation
Loading Using Radio Frequency  (because they’re part of the generic RF framework) but are not functional for outbound delivery loading steps in Public Cloud context — unless you have a full ASR/TM scenario and even then, the RF integration is limited.
