3703671 - Header-level conditions in purchase contracts not automatically copied to item-level

Symptom

The condition maintained at the header level of a purchase contract does not automatically copy into the item level.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Maintain a condition at the header level in a purchase contract.
  2. Observe that the condition is not replicated to the item level.

Resolution

Contracts are using time-dependent conditions, where it is not possible to copy the header conditions to the item.

However, if a following document like a PO is created by referencing a contract maintained at the header level, the PO item will automatically copy the conditions maintained in the contract header.

This behavior is part of the system's standard design and is expected functionality.
