3703829 - Spell Check Functionality Unsupported in Workflow Comment Field

Symptom

The comment box on the workflow page does not have spell check when a manager is processing a request. "Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

Reproducing the Issue

When a manager adds comments while approving or declining an attendance or absence request, the comment box does not support auto spell check or correction. Misspellings are only indicated by a red wavy underline.

Cause

Spell check is not supported for fields with the string data type.

Resolution

As an alternative, use the browser’s spell-check feature by right-clicking on the text to view suggestions.
