Symptom

  • Error message "CO Data not yet archived" received when attempting to archive FI documents.
  • Archiving jobs for FI_DOCUMNT end with status "Failed" or "Success", but no documents are archived.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Attempt to archive FI documents using the archiving object FI_DOCUMNT.
  2. Observe job logs in the "Monitor Archiving Jobs" app indicating errors such as "CO Data not yet archived".
  3. Verify that no documents are archived despite jobs ending with "Success" or "Failed" statuses.

Cause

The archiving object FI_DOCUMNT requires successful prior archiving of predecessor objects such as CO_TRANS and AM_ASSET.

Resolution

  1. Archive predecessor objects CO_TRANS and AM_ASSET successfully before attempting to archive FI_DOCUMNT.
  2. Monitor job logs for errors and confirm successful archiving.
