Symptom
The tokens [[Job Title]] and [[Location]] are not working when when Hiring Manager, or an Onboarding Admin, submit the Welcome Message new hire task.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding
Reproducing the Issue
- Proxy as the hiring manager.
- Navigate to the onboarding dashboard.
- Select the onboardee and open the "Write Welcome Message" task.
- Add tokens [[Job Title]] and [[Location]].
- Submit the message.
- Reopen the welcome message and observe that the tokens did not change into the value, they still show as tokens.
Cause
Missing permissions.
Resolution
- In Admin Center > Manage Business Configuration > jobInfo
- Take note of the label for the field "job-code" , for example: the label is Job Classification
- In Admin Center > RBP troubleshooting tool > Target Population Search
- Select the affected admin in 'Access User 1' and the test onbordee in 'Target User'
- Check the following permissions:
Employee Central Effective Dated Entities > Job Information > Job Classification
Employee Central Effective Dated Entities > Job Information > Location
Employee Data > Employment Details MSS (View) - Assign the missing ones
- Try again to edit or submit the Welcome Message task, issue should be resolved
