3704035 - During order confirmation the error message "Posting period & & is locked (check posting date)"

• When confirming activities associated to an order the error message RU428 is prompted "Posting period & & is locked (check posting date)".
• This error can occur during such cost object confirmations like Production Order, Process Order or any other order type which requires activity confirmation. 
• For example in app "Confirm Production Operation" the error can be prompted when attempting to post the confirmations. It is not clear why the error is prompted.

1. "Confirm Production Operation" app.
2. Enter the effected production order and activity.
3. Post.
4. Error message "Posting period & & is locked (check posting date)".

In the Manage Posting Period Cost Accounting app the "RKL (Actual Activity Allocation)" business transaction type is closed for the period and fiscal year mentioned in the error message. 

1. Open Manage Posting Period Cost Accounting app.
2. Enter the Company Code in which the Order is assigned.
3. Enter the Fiscal Year stated in the error message.
4. Enter the Business Transaction Type "RKL" which is Activity Type Allocation.
5. Go.
6. Select the Period mentioned in the error.
7. "Open".
8. Save. (See Screenshot below).
   
   
   
   
9. Process the Confirmation again without error.
