3704133 - Unable to change Base Unit of Measure in the Material Master due to purchasing documents already exist logs - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• When changing the Base unit of Measure in the material master (app Change Material), the log entry "purchase orders already exist" is shown.
• When changing the Base unit of Measure in the material master (app Change Material), the log entry "Purchase requisitions already exist" is shown.
• Purchase Order documents have been completed / concluded status but still when changing the Base unit of Measure, it reports that PO documents exist.
• Purchase requisitions documents have been completed / concluded status but still when changing the Base unit of Measure, it reports that PR documents exist.
• The PR and PO are already closed (completely received and completely invoiced) , and there are no open quantities left in these documents but still the UoM of a material cannot be updated.

1. Access the App Change Material.
2. Input Material number and press Enter.
3. Select the 'Basic Data 1' view and press Enter.
4. Change the Base Unit of Measure ( Example : PC to EA ).
5. Press Enter.
6. Message 'The base unit of measure cannot be changed; choose "Display errors"' appears.
7. Press the button "Display Errors" in the top left corner.
8. Log Entry with 'purchase orders already exist' and 'Purchase requisitions already exist' appears with list of Purchasing Documents

No purchase requisitions, purchase orders or scheduling agreements must exist for which the deletion indicator is not set.

Purchase orders already exist.

The log results show the Purchase Order Items where the deletion indicator is not set .

The CDS view I_PurchaseOrderItemAPI01 contains the field PurchasingDocumentDeletionCode which can be used also to retrieve this information.

Select all Purchase Order items for the material involved .

If you find items where PurchasingDocumentDeletionCode is not equal to 'L' ( Deletion indicator set ) you have to delete them using the app Change Purchase Order - Advanced or Manage Purchase Orders (Version 2) .

Purchase requisitions already exist.

The log results show the Purchase requisition Items where the deletion indicator is not set .

The CDS view I_PurchaseRequisitionItemAPI01 contains the field IsDeleted which can be used also to retrieve this information.

Select all Purchase requistion items for the material involved .

If you find items where IsDeleted is not equal to 'X' ( Deletion indicator set ) you have to delete them using the app Manage Purchase Requisitions - Professional.
