3704141 - Price per unit (EKPO-PEINH) in contract cannot be updated via BAPI_CONTRACT_CHANGE - SAP ERP & SAP S/4HANA

Symptom

When updating the price per unit (EKPO-PEINH) of a purchase contract using BAPI_CONTRACT_CHANGE, the system does not allow updates to existing data and issues error "ME664 Change PEINH could not be effected".
