3704568 - Error when applying absences in hours due to decimal precision issue

• Employees are receiving an error when applying absences in hours;
• The error message states: "You can't request 07:20 hours because it exceeds your current leave balance of X hours.";
• Absences for a full day (7.20 hours as per Work Schedule) were successfully applied earlier but started encountering issues recently.

• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
• SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite 

1. Proxy as the user;
2. Attempt to create an absence for a day with 7:20 hours in the work schedule;
3. Observe the error message: "You can't request 07:20 hours because it exceeds your current leave balance of X hours."

The issue is caused by the uneven representation of 7h20m as 7.333333h in the Work Schedule and employee time calculations. This discrepancy is limited to specific configurations of the Work Schedule.

• A code fix has been identified as necessary to address the issue. The fix will be patched to production by February 25th.
• As a temporary workaround, create absences by splitting them into two separate entries:
  • Absence 1: 7 hours;
  • Absence 2: 20 minutes.
