3704880 - Short Dump RAISE_EXCEPTION in SAPLHRAC During On-Behalf Processing in HCM Fiori Applications

Symptom

After applying recent SAP support packages or the HCM year-end patch, users may experience a Fiori UI error and a short dump when using on-behalf functionality in HCM Fiori applications (for example My Leave Request).

The short dump shows:

  • Runtime error: RAISE_EXCEPTION

  • Exception: INVALID_INPUT

  • ABAP program: SAPLHRAC

  • Occurs in function module HR_READ_INFOTYPE

The Fiori UI Error an error message is displayed, for example: “RFC error: Exception condition INVALID_INPUT triggered”
