3704942 - Inconsistency in 3PL Inventory Notification With Error "Item YY: Transfer group ID permitted for transfer only"

When choosing Check button in Third-Party Inventory Notification, the following error message occurs: Item YY: Transfer group ID permitted for transfer only(YY is Item ID).

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Third-Party Logistics work center.
2. Go to the 3PL Inventory Management view and select Inventory Notifications sub-view.
3. Search for relevant Inventory Notification document id and choose edit.
4. See that Notification Status is Inconsistent.
5. Choose the Check button.
6. Error message appears: Item YY: Transfer group ID permitted for transfer only.

• The Item Group ID is mandatory only when the inventory notification is created with the reason Transfer.
• When performing an inventory notification with the movement direction set to Inventory Receipt and the reason maintained as Inventory Difference, the Item Group ID is not required.
• Here, the Transfer Group ID mentioned in the error refers to the Item Group ID. 

To resolve the issue, remove the maintained Item Group ID as follows,

1. Go to the Third-Party Logistics work center.
2. Go to the 3PL Inventory Management view and select Inventory Notifications sub-view.
3. Search for relevant Inventory Notification document id and choose edit.
4. In line items tab, remove the data maintained in Item Group ID.
5. Choose Check button.
6. Now the Inventory Notification document is in consistent status.
