Symptom
- In Account Management, certain accounts could not be edited or their status changed from "Blocked" to "Active."
- An error message appeared: "500 SAP Internal Server Error."
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to Account Management.
- Open the account ID.
- Change the status from "Blocked" to "Active."
- Observe the error message "500 SAP Internal Server Error."
Cause
The affected accounts had expired Rating Dates, which prevented the status change from "Blocked" to "Active."
Resolution
- Verify the ByD - Rating Expiry Date in the General tab of the affected accounts.
- Ensure that the expiry date is valid for the "Blocked" to "Active" status change activity.
- If the expiry date has already passed, update the expiry date to a valid future date.
- Retry the status change activity from "Blocked" to "Active."
