3705343 - How to figure out the documents failed to be migrated? - Onboarding 1.0

Symptom

How to figure out the documents failed to be migrated during Onboarding 1.0 Document Migration?

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 1.0

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Perform Onboarding 1.0 Document Migration
  2. After completed, go to ONB 1.0 dashboard > Settings > Feature Usage
  3. There are records counted in "Current Document Migration Status" > "Documents failed to be migrated"

Resolution

Prerequisite: below permission is granted to the login user who will do the check

  • Onboarding or Offboarding Admin Object Permissions > ONB2LegacyONB1FormData (View & Export)

Steps:

  1. Go to Admin Center > Import and Export Data
  2. Select "Export Data" > select Generic Object = "ONB2LegacyONB1FormData" > click on "Export"
  3. Go to  Admin Center > Scheduled Job Manager
  4. Wait until the job is completed > click on "View Details" > click on "Download Status"
  5. Open the file with name "ONB2LegacyONB1FormData.csv"
  6. Filter with column "level1=(Blanks)"
  7. The results filtered out are the documents failed to be migrated

*Usually, the documents are failed due to it's already broken when they're in 1.0 Document Center - if check in Document Center, will see error "Failed to load PDF document." when trying to preview them. Hence the failure record is considered having no impact on the general migration results and the 2.0 DMS usage.
