3705754 - "Unable to connect to Concur" in SAP Analytics Cloud

Symptom

  • An import data connection to SAP Concur fails with the following error message:
    • Unable to connect to Concur. Check the connection details and user credentials and try again.
  • In the console log in the developer tools:
    • 400 Bad Request error is seen.
    • GET <sac tenant url> 400 (Bad Request)

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud Enterprise 2025.21

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Connections tab in SAP Analytics Cloud.
  2. Create a new import connection to SAP Concur.
  3. Enter the Company UUID and Company Request Token provided by the SAP Concur administrator.
  4. Click "Create" to create the connection.
  5. Get the connection error.

Cause

There are two main reasons for this behavior:

  1. As described in the help documentation (Import Data Connection to SAP Concur), the Company Request Token has a lifespan of 24 hours only. Ensure the Concur administrator has provided a token from within the last 24 hours.
  2. The Company UUID has been generated using an incorrect or mismatched SAP App ID. If a generic App ID, a Sandbox ID, or an App ID intended for a different data center/region, the resulting UUID will be cryptographically incompatible with the SAC tenant's security requirements.

Resolution

To resolve this, the Concur UUID must be regenerated using the specific SAP App ID designated for SAP Analytics Cloud. Ask your Concur administrator to re-generate the Company UUID using the correct SAP App ID, along with the Company Request Token.
