3706364 - Change in Job Information field not creating new record in Compensation Information - SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Symptom

When updating a field through History > Insert new record in Job Information, new record is not created in Compensation Information even with "Refresh Compensation Required" set to "Yes".

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Job Information > History.
  2. Insert a new record with an updated field value
  3. Save the change.
  4. After refreshing the page, check Compensation Information, no new record is created.

Cause

That is the expected behavior from our product design. When a Job Information field is updated using the History option, compensation data is not refreshed.

Resolution

After setting "Refresh Compensation Required" to "Yes", perform the change in field according to the following steps:

  1. Go to employee's profile;
  2. Select "Take Action" or "All Actions" button;
  3. Select "Change Job and Compensation Info" > "Job Information";
  4. Update field value;
  5. Save the change.
