3706551 - SAP HANA: Backup Catalog Cannot Be Read on Target System After Copying Backint Configuration from Source System

Symptom

  • A restore or recovery using Backint-based backups fails because the backup catalog of the source SAP HANA system cannot be read on the target system.
  • The issue occurs after copying Backint configuration files (for example aws-backint-agent-config.yaml and aws-backint-agent-config-log.yaml) from the source system to the target system.
  • Even though the same Backint provider and the same physical backup location (for example an AWS S3 bucket) are used, the target SAP HANA system does not display or recognize the backup catalog of the source system.
