Symptom

Error message while creating new projects.

"Enter job ID without special characters and spaces."

Environment

S/4HANA Public Cloud Public Edition 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Plan Customer Projects app.
  2. Click on plus sign on bottom left to create new project.
  3. Attempt to enter a project ID containing special characters (e.g., 12345.0001 or 12345-0001).

Error "Enter job ID without special characters and spaces." displayed.

Cause

Customer Projects and Internal Projects are configured to disallow IDs with special characters or spaces.

Resolution

This is expected standard behaviour.
