With 2602 release, scope item 7S7 can now be activated without requiring support from SAP.

Activate Advanced Down Payment Processing for item category TAN in the Configure Item Categories configuration activity. Subsequently, the new field Down Payment Variant will be visible during sales order creation for items with item category TAN.  While there are multiple links in the system, the recommended way to initially access the product assistance is as follows: 

1. In the configuration environment, use the search function to find and open the Configure Item Categories configuration activity (ID: 103411).
2. Choose the Configuration Help button. 
3. In the configuration help that opens, choose the “Advanced Down Payment Processing” link to open the product assistance in the default browser. 

Note: 

• To get an overview of advanced down payment processing and explore its features in detail, check the dedicated product assistance on SAP Help Portal. 
• Because this feature is limited to SAP customers, product assistance is accessible only via the system‑embedded direct links.
