3706959 - Cost Center Name is not displayed in Display Line Items in General Ledger app - S/4HANA Cloud Public edition

Symptom

Cost Center Name is not displayed for certain cost center when executing the report in the Display Line Items in General Ledger app.

Environment

S/4HANA Cloud Public edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Display Line Items in General Ledger app.
  2. Execute the report for specific company code.
  3. Observe that:
    • Some cost centers are updated with cost center ID and name
    • Some cost centers are reported with cost center ID only

Cause

The validity of cost center is the same as the posting date.

Resolution

Extend the validity period of the affected cost center:

  1. Open the Manage Cost Centers app (ID: F1443A )
  2. Enter the ID of the affected cost center 
  3. Update the "Valid To" date field value to 31.12.9999.
  4. Save the changes to the cost center master data.
