3707757 - Whats new 2602 output documents downloading automatically

While clicking on a document name in the output history the document downloads straight away unlike opening in a separate browser window.

As Example:

• WOC:Customer invoice
• View: Invoice documents, in the output history facet after clicking on the document name the download starts directly

As par of security best practices, we are disabling the previewing the attachments in browser or new tab, across ByD.

Same for documents which are opened via the document name and output History

This is significant change of behavior with respective to viewing attachments, customer must download to their local desktop to view the attachment.

In 2602 release affects the following areas:

• Customer Invoicing
• Sales Orders
• Supplier Invoices (invoices and credit memos)
• Payables, Liquidity Management (including Bank Statements)
• File Management

In subsequent releases we disable previewing attachments in remaining places.

• Improved Security : Download only access ensures that sensitive documents are not rendered inside the browser, reducing exposure to browser based vulnerabilities and aligning better with corporate security policies.
• Reduced Rendering Issues: Some attachments may not display correctly in the browser due to format limitations or browser compatibility issues. Downloading ensures documents are opened in their native application, preserving full quality and formatting.

If you want to change this behaviour "back" for pdf documents and previews you can do that in the security settings of your browser if your company allows it.

SAP is not recommending undergoing this security enhancements  and its at your own risk.
