Symptom

  • Error message: "Business partner x has not been assigned to any role (R11125)" during synchronization of business partners.
  • The table BUT100 shows the business partner has the role BUP003 (Employee) assigned.
  • The issue affects multiple employee numbers (PERNRs) and prevents the creation of employee vendor business partners, impacting open expense reports and reimbursement payments.
  • A misleading error message text is displayed, and the dump ASSERTION_FAILED occurs, as observed in transaction ST22.
