3708291 - Control key does not update automatically when maintenance work center is changed in maintenance order operation in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• While creating maintenance order, the system defaults the operation control key to YBM1 even when the maintenance work center does not have a default control key maintained.
• When the maintenance planner updates the maintenance work center to another work center which has default control key maintained, the operation control key does not update to the default control key.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Access "Change Maintenance Order" application and enter the order number.
2. Navigate to the operation data tab and observe that the operation control key defaults to YBM1, even when the maintenance work center does not have a default control key maintained.
3. Change the maintenance work center to a replacement work center which has default control key maintained.
4. Observe that the control key does not update to the default control key.

The default control key for the first order operation is set from unexposed configuration activity 'Maintain Default Values for Control Keys for Order Types' based on Planning plant / Order type. The default value is YBM1, and it does not change when the maintenance work center is updated to a replacement work center. This behavior is by current system design.
