Symptom
- An outbound delivery was created with reference to a stock transfer order (STO) using outbound and inbound deliveries. Goods issue was posted for the outbound delivery.
- A follow up inbound delivery is not available for one of the following reasons:
- Errors in the creation of the delivery
- Deletion of the delivery
- Delivery was created but confirmed with zero quantities
Environment
- SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition all versions
- Basic Functions (Public Cloud)
Resolution
Option 1:
- Reverse goods issue for the outbound delivery.
- Re-post goods issue. This should initiate the creation of a new inbound delivery.
Option 2:
Use Case 1: Regular stock transport order (STO) using outbound and inbound deliveries
Variant 1:
- Open the Change Outbound Delivery app and enter the outbound delivery number.
- Choose Continue.
- Choose Extras ->Delivery Output ->Header.
- If a previously created inbound delivery was deleted or confirmed with zero quantities: The system displays at least one row with the Output Type SPED in the status Successfully processed.
- If a previously created inbound delivery contains errors: The system displays at least one row with the Output Type SPED in the status Incorrectly processed. For a detailed description of the error and how to resolve it, select the row, choose Processing Log, and open the Long Text by selecting the question mark icon in the Long column of the Processing log.
- Select the corresponding row and choose Repeat output. The system creates an additional row with the status Not processed.
- Choose Save. The system processes the newly created entry.
- If the processing was successful:
- A new inbound delivery is created in the status Successfully processed. This new inbound delivery can be viewed in the Document Flow of the outbound delivery or in the Confirmations tab of the STO.
- If the processing was not successful:
- A new entry is created in the status Incorrectly processed.
- Select the new entry and choose Processing log.
- For a detailed description of the error and how to resolve it, open the Long Text by selecting the question mark icon in the Long column of the Processing log.
- If the processing was successful:
Variant 2:
- Open the Print Outbound Delivery - Manually app.
- Use the input help to select the Output Type SPED.
- Use the input help to select the Processing Mode dependent on the following use cases:
- Creation of inbound delivery not yet triggered | Processing Mode: 1- First Processing
- Inbound delivery created and confirmed with zero quantities | Processing Mode: 2-Repeat Processing
- Inbound delivery triggered and error occurred | Processing Mode: 3 - Error Processing (All)
- Enter the delivery number in the Delivery field.
- Choose the Execute button.
- Select the entry to be processed.
- Choose Goto -> Log to display the log for a previous attempt to create an inbound delivery for this STO process.
- Choose the Process button to trigger the creation of an inbound delivery for this STO process.
Use Case 2: Value chain monitoring (VCM) framework relevant stock transfer order (STO)
- Open the Monitor Value Chains app.
- Enter the relevant STO number in the Initiating Document field and choose the Go button.
- Choose the entry of the relevant STO to navigate to the documents belonging to it.
- The step Inbound Delivery is either shown in status Pending or Partially Processed.
- Choose the Inbound Delivery step.
- Choose the Message Log tab to display relevant messages.
- Choose the Process button in the follow-up screen.
- The system creates a new inbound delivery as a follow-up to the outbound delivery.
- Choose the Reload button to display the newly created inbound delivery in the overview of the business process.
