3708484 - You cannot Join Data Source two data source (no common field for join) and Combined data source are not available in SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Symptom

You want to create a join data source, but it is not possible. So you decide to create a combined data source, but combined data source option is not available.

Environment

SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to User icon.
  2. Go to Setting.
  3. Go to all settings.
  4. Design story.
  5. Add data sources, try to make a join.
  6. It is not possible to create a consistent join between i.e. Opportunity header / Email interaction information, unless you find common fields between this two data source or add a third data source which could has common fields between Opportunity header / Email interaction information.
  7. Other alternative would be create data source Combined, but Combined data sources are not available in SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2 yet.

Cause

It is not possible to create a consistent join between Opportunity header / Email interaction information.

Resolution

You have to find common fields between Opportunity header / Email interaction information data source or add a third data source which could has common fields between Opportunity header / Email interaction information.

Create data source Combined is not an alternative because combined data sources are not available in  SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2.
