Field "Assignment Reference" cannot be changed in Manage Journal Entries app

One possible reason is, the assigned business role does not provide Write access for the restriction type "Segment for Segmental Reporting (SEGMENT_GLRRCTY)".

To enable editing of the Assignment Reference field in Manage Journal Entries app, update the relevant

Restriction Type: Segment for Segmental Reporting (SEGMENT_GLRRCTY)

Business Role by:
1. Opening the Maintain Business Roles app
2. Selecting the affected Business Role
3. Reviewing the assigned Business Catalogs related to segment reporting
4. Adjusting the Restrictions to allow Write access for the restriction type “Segment for Segmental Reporting.”

Once the Write restriction is enabled, the Assignment Reference field will become editable in Manage Journal Entries app.
