3709975 - Hire Date Mandatory - Can we make Hire Date mandatory only in specific Candidate Application Statuses? - Recruiting Management

Is there a way to make Hire Date non-mandatory at a specific stage or Status, such as New Application or Under Review? While a candidate is under review, the hire date is not mandatory. The hire date should only be required and made mandatory when the candidate is moved to Eligible for Hire. 

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

1. Search for requisition
2. Under "New Application," locate the candidate.
3. Move the candidate to next status and observe the error prompt stating that the "Hire Date" field is mandatory.

The "Hire Date" field is defined as "Required" in the application template under "Manage Templates > Application Template."

At the moment it is not possible, as the fields inherit their configuration from one source only, which is Application Template.

Therefore, all definitions and attributes will follow what have been inserted in the XML Template.
