3710705 - Error “Navigation to this application is not supported" in Manage Preliminary Billing Documents(F2875) app – SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

Navigation from "Manage Preliminary Billing Documents"(F2875) app" to "Create Billing Document"(VF01) app fails with error “Navigation to this application is not supported” when selecting entries, even though catalogs SAP_SD_BC_BIL_DOC_PC and SAP_SD_BC_BIL_DOC_REQ_PC are assigned to the business role.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open "Manage Preliminary Billing Documents"(F2875) app.
  2. Enter a Preliminary Billing Document.
  3. Select the document entries.
  4. Attempt to navigate to billing creation via app "Create Billing Document"(VF01)".
  5. System raises error: "Navigation to this application is not supported".

Cause

Required IAM (Identity and Access Management) apps related to billing are inactive in the assigned business role.

Resolution

To resolve this error, follow the steps below: 

  1. Open the "Business Catalogs" (F2471) app.
  2. Search for catalog SAP_SD_BC_BIL_DOC_PC.
  3. Open the assigned business role (e.g., Z_BR_BILLING_CLERK).
  4. Navigate to the IAM Apps section.
  5. Verify whether "Create Billing Documents" (VF01) app is listed.
  6. Next to verify whether the IAM apps are active for the role, navigate to the "Maintain Business Users"(F1303) app.
  7. Select the relevant business user.
  8. Go to Assigned Business Roles and open the role (e.g., YBR_C2C_ACCNT_RECEIVE_MNGR).
  9. In the IAM Apps section, search using keyword "Billing".
  10. Identify the inactive billing related apps and activate the required IAM apps for billing processing. 
  11. Test the navigation again from the "Manage Preliminary Billing Documents" (F2875) app to the "Create Billing Document" (VF01) app to confirm that the error has been resolved.
