3711337 - Process Status behavior - Onboarding

Symptom

  • How the Process Status within the Onboarding Process object behaves?
  • When the Process Status will change from Open to Completed?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

Resolution

The Process Status within the Process Object, is responsible for the candidate to appear or not as a completed process, on the Onboarding Dashboard.

When the archive rule and job are configured, the Process status will only be modified when the archive rule is satisfied, no compliance task is open, and the Archive job on provisioning is submitted. The update of the Process Status will depend strictly on this configuration, completing all the tasks of the Onboarding Process will not play a role. For more information regarding the archive configuration, you can check this guide section: Archive Onboarding/Offboarding Tasks | SAP Help Portal.

When the archive configuration is not in place, the system will consider the Onboarding tasks and steps to update the Process Status, which means all the tasks, mandatory or not, should be completed. Once that is done, the Process Status will be updated from Open to Completed.
