3711392 - Microsoft Office Integration Addon not available due to Office security settings

Symptom

  • After installing or updating to version 1.3.0.0 / 1.2.2.0, the Office interface does not load in Word, Excel, or PowerPoint.
  • The “SAP PLM” ribbon is missing when opening a document from SAP ECTR.
  • In Microsoft Office options, the add-in “PLM/ECTR Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint” appears as “inactive” or “deactivated.
