3711579 - MDG cannot save material custom fields after upgrade to S/4 HANA 2023

Symptom

After upgrading to SAP S/4HANA 2023 or a higher release, the following fields are not saved when materials are created or changed using MDG:

  • Custom fields under namespace Y* or Z*
  • Add-on fields (e.g. under namespace /STTPEC/)

Custom fields under namespace YY* or ZZ* are not affected.
