3711898 - Recommend People and Links do not trigger Email Notifications to Onboardees - Onboarding

Symptom

No email notification is sent to the onboardee when the following standard tasks are assigned in Onboarding 2.0:

  • Recommend People for New Hires
  • Recommend Links

The tasks are visible in For You Today (Home Page) and on the onboarding dashboard.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

Cause

This is expected system behavior.

Resolution

Email notifications are not triggered for the standard tasks Recommend People for New Hires and Recommend Links.

These tasks are:

  • Informational and optional in nature
  • Not linked to any email trigger in the Onboarding email framework

As a result, no system-generated email is sent to the onboardee when these tasks are assigned.
