3711977 - Profile photo auto update in sap successfactors onboarding

• The formal photograph of a new hire collected during the Personal Data Collection (PDC) step in Onboarding 2.0 is not automatically updated as the profile photo in Employee Central (EC) upon completion of onboarding activities and hiring into EC.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 

1. Collect the formal photograph of a new hire during the Personal Data Collection (PDC) step in Onboarding 
2. Complete all onboarding activities and hire the new hire into Employee Central (EC).
3. Verify if the formal photograph uploaded during the PDC step is updated as the profile photo in EC.

1. The photo collected during the PDC process is stored in a custom MDF object. Due to system constraints, this photo cannot be directly linked to the EC profile photo.
2. Although the photo can be technically moved or copied to EC for reference or downstream usage, it will not be reflected or displayed as the employee’s EC profile photo.
3. As a result, the photo captured during PDC should be considered for process or record-keeping purposes only, and not as a replacement for the official EC profile photo.
4. If displaying a profile photo in EC is a business requirement, it will need to be uploaded or maintained through the standard EC profile photo functionality.
