3712854 - Pencil (edit) icon not shown on custom MDF card on the Latest People Profile

Pencil (edit) icon not shown on custom MDF card on the Latest People Profile, despite users being granted the correct permissions for the affected MDF object. 

 - View Current 

 - View History

 - Create 

 - Insert 

The pencil (edit) icon only appears when the "correct" permission is provided. 

To "insert a new record" users must click the history icon. 

SAP SuccessFactors HCM 

1. Navigate to the Latest People Profile. 
2. Go to a card for a Custom MDF object for which you possess the requisite permissions to insert a new record. 
3. Notice that the pencil (edit) icon is missing despite having View Current| View History| Create| Insert permissions for the relevant object. 
4. The option to insert a new record can only be seen after first clicking the "History" icon. 
5. The pencil icon only appears when you add the "Correct" permission. 

This is a Known Error.

This fix for this issue is planned to be deployed on 1H 2026 release.
