3713257 - Global Header Search - Hide business phone number in search bar in SAP SuccessFactors

• When searching for employees using their name, the business phone number is displayed in the search bar alongside the employee's name.

• SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. Log in to the SAP SuccessFactors instance.
2. Search for a user.
3. Notice that the business phone number is displayed in the search bar alongside the user's name.

The phone number is displayed in the search bar because the user has permission for the business phone. This behavior is working as designed.

The display of search results, for people or actions, is updated. In 2H 2025, you can't open the Profile Preview from search results, so selecting a person from the results navigates to their full profile. This is the reason why the phone numbers are being displayed. Here's an example of a search for people named "Charles" in the shell bar. showing phone numbers in the result (obfuscated).

The solution is expected to be available in the new version of the global header release.

• For preview, hiding business phone number is already available on version 2511.
• For production, it will be available on 1H 2605 release.

To hide business phone number visibility in search bar in SAP SuccessFactors

1. Login to instance
2. Go to Admin Center
3. On the Global Header Search type in "Company System and Logo Settings"
4. Select Enable SAP user experience updates.
