3713330 - Time Difference in Calculated Measure "Use of Current Date/ Time"

Symptom

In Measure Calculation value is not shown correctly when if value is null and ''Use current date/time if NULL or empty date'' option is checked

Environment

  • SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2
  • Embedded usage of SAP Analytics Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Logon to Sale Cloud V2.
  2. After login, click the user icon in the top & right, choose System Settings.
  3. Go to All Settings -> Analytics -> Design Stories
  4. Open problem story
  5. When value is null 'Use current date/time if NULL or empty date'
  6. The calculated is wrong if we count when date value is null

Cause

The "Use current date/Time if Null" option appends the current date with a default timestamp of 00:00:00 to make it a complete timestamp. This behavior is by design.

Resolution

  1. Note that the "Use current date/Time if Null" option appends the current date with a default timestamp of 00:00:00.
  2. If the requirement is to use the actual current time instead of 00:00:00, this functionality is not supported in the current design.
