3713714 - Error message "You are trying to modify multiple records with the same keys (start-date, seq-number, pay-component, user-id)" - Onboarding

Symptom

"You are trying to modify multiple records with the same keys (start-date, seq-number, pay-component, user-id). Please review the data and try again." when submitting Review New Hire Data or initiating Onboarding from RCM.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the "Review new hire" step;
  2. Continue to the "Compensation" step;
  3. Click on the "Submit" button to encounter the issue.

Cause

There is a Cross Entity rule triggering in Onboarding.

Resolution

Cross Entities rules are not supported in Onboarding, hence, cannot be enabled. Make sure to disable the rule to not trigger in Onboarding within Manage Business Configuration.
