3714377 - Manually added phantom item is not exploded in planned order

When you manually add a phantom item in a planned order, you find that the phantom item is not exploded automatically. Additionally, when you convert the planned order to a production order, the phantom item shows as a normal item, and the "phantom" indicator is not marked.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Access the planned order using the Create Planned Order app.
2. Manually add a phantom assembly material as a component to the planned order.
3. Save the planned order and observe that the phantom item does not automatically explode into its sub-components.
4. Convert the planned order to a production order using transaction CO01 or CO40.
5. Check the production order components list to verify the phantom indicator status.
6. Confirm that the phantom item appears as a normal component without the phantom indicator flag.

This is standard system behavior.

The phantom item will be exploded during the MRP run, however, when manually added to a planned order, the system will not check whether the material is a phantom item and will treat it as a normal item.

If a phantom item needs to be included in a planned order, ensure it is maintained in the BOM.
If the phantom item needs to be temporarily added, manually add it in the production order.
