3714626 - Error 500 sap internal server error when adding code item in commodity catalog

Symptom

Error message : "500 SAP Internal Server Error "occurring  when clicking on "Add Code item" in Commodity Catalog.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Intrastat Workcenter.
  2. Navigate to Commodity Catalogs view
  3. Under Active Catalogs, locate the Catalog ID: ABC
  4. Choose an Edit option
  5. Attempt to choose "Add Code item" option 

Observe the system loading and displaying the error: "500 SAP Internal Server Error".

Cause

The scoping question "You can export your Intrastat declaration to a country/region specific file" is not enabled in the system.

Resolution

  1. Navigate to the Business Configuration work center.
  2. Open the Implementation Projects view.
  3. Select the First Implementation Project.
  4. Choose the Edit Project Scope option.
  5. Go to Compliance and select Foreign Trade Declarations.
  6. Select Intrastat.
  7. Enable the scoping question "You can export your Intrastat declaration to a country/region specific file" .
