3714722 - Application URL or HTTP service (e.g. XS/OData) not reachable after SAP HANA System Replication takeover although SR status is healthy

Symptom

After a successful SAP HANA System Replication takeover, application URLs (for example HTTP/HTTPS services, XS or OData endpoints) are not reachable or return HTTP errors such as HTTP 404.

The database itself is accessible and System Replication shows a healthy status.

Typical observations:

  • hdbnsutil -sr_state shows primary/secondary in sync
  • Takeover completes without replication errors
  • SQL connections to the database work
  • Only application URL or HTTP-based service is not reachable after takeover

The issue may appear only after failover, patching or maintenance activities.
