3714923 - SWPM reports “Use custom ports, at least one port is already occupied” during SAP ASE installation although ports are free

• During SAP system installation or system build using Software Provisioning Manager (SWPM) with SAP NetWeaver 7.5 and SAP ASE, the installation stops at step:

        “SAP ASE Database System Parameters”

• The following message is displayed:

      Use custom ports, at least one port is already occupied.

• Log extract (sapinst_dev.log):

      SLPGuiEngine::showMessageBoxHandleButtonImpl()
      Use custom ports, at least one port is already occupied.

Operating system checks confirm that the default ASE ports (4901, 4902, 4903, 4904) are not in use.
