3715832 - Unable to Access 'Uses of Partner Function' Option in Maintain Business Partner App

Symptom

The 'Uses of Partner Function Customer' and 'Uses of Partner Function Supplier' options appear greyed out and cannot be accessed when viewing or editing the Business Partner data.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Maintain Business Partner app.
  2. Open the Business Partner.
  3. Navigate to Menu.
  4. Select Extras.
  5. Attempt to access 'Uses of Partner Function Customer' and 'Uses of Partner Function Supplier' the option is greyed out.

Resolution

  • To access Uses of Partner Function Customer, open the Business Partner and switch the role to Customer. Once the Customer role is selected, the Uses of Partner Function Customer option becomes accessible. 
  • To access Uses of Partner Function Supplier, open the Business Partner and switch the role to Supplier. Once the Supplier role is selected, the Uses of Partner Function Supplier option becomes accessible. 

Note : To get an overview of all partner functions linked to a selected customer or supplier, open the respective Business Partner role. The results may be extensive depending on the selection. The Partner Function field at the bottom of the dialog window can be used to refine the search and locate a specific function.
