3716008 - The ApmEmployeeEnrollmentDigest notification is listing classes with past dates

The email template ID ApmEmployeeEnrollmentDigest (triggered by the 'Manager Email Notifications for Enrollment Digest' automatic process) is being sent to managers. However, the notification is listing classes with past dates.

Given that the template ID ApmEmployeeEnrollmentDigest is used to notify managers of registration status changes for their subordinates/employees, is expected that any enrollments made are going to be added to the notification regardless of the classes' start date.

Classes with past dates can be included in the notification depending on the schedule of the 'Manager Email Notifications for Enrollment Digest' automatic process. For example:

• Considering that the APM runs daily on Mondays, let's say January 1st;
• On January 2nd the user self-registers in a class that happens the next Friday (January 5th);
• The next notification the manager will receive will be on January 8th, when the above class will already have happened.

Also, users can be registered into classes with past dates by Learning Administrators, directly from Learning Administration UI.

Some possible options to address the scenario are:

• Disable the 'Manager Email Notifications for Enrollment Digest' APM, in order to avoid notifying the managers about their employees' class registrations; OR
  
  
• Change the schedule of the APM to run daily instead of just weekly to avoid delay in information delivery to managers. However, this most likely will result in more e-mails being received by the managers (e.g., 7 employee registration happening on 7 different days will result in 7 separate mails sent to the manager instead of one mail which included all registrations for those 7 days in one e-mail with the a weekly schedule).

To suggest a different system behavior, it would be possible to have an enhancement request created for it (as per KBA 2090228), where the Learning Product Management team can further review and assess the requested functionality to be considered in a future release.
