3716011 - ESM not opening via successfactors in Safari browser

You have implemented SAP ESM solution and integrated it with your SAP SuccessFactors instance.

Now you have noticed that while this is working fine in every browser, it does not work in Apple Safari browser, loading just a blank screen.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

• ESM url ends with .cloud.sap
• SuccessFactors url ends with '.successfactors.com' or different
• You are using Safari

1. Open your SuccessFactors instance in your Safari
2. Click in the icon to open ESM
3. Notice that the application don't work

Expected behavior due to Safari restrictions.

Safari has a more strict handling of cookies, which means that if all applications are not under the same common super domain, the ESM wont work.

To solve this issue permanently you need to complete the migration to the common super domain (check see also)

WORKAROUND

For customers not planning to perform the common supper domain migration yet, the available workaround is to use a different browser
