3716016 - Error "PROCEDURE 'sp_statistics' is not supported" when trying to create a connection to MSSQL - SAP HANA Smart Data Integration

Symptom

  • Connection to MS Fabric using the MSSQL connector in Datasphere (MssqlLogReaderAdapter) is established successfully, and Remote Tables are available.
  • An error occurs when attempting to read/import tables:
    • errorgetCSNDefinition: invalid remote object name: DPAdapterAccess::GetColumnInfo:[Driver error] PROCEDURE 'sp_statistics' is not supported.: line 0 col 0 (at pos 0), Code: 476, SQL State: HY000
  • Error log in framework.trc:
    • DPFramework | WorkerThread.processRequest [] - com.sap.hana.dp.adapter.sdk.AdapterException: [Driver error] PROCEDURE 'sp_statistics' is not supported. Context: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: PROCEDURE 'sp_statistics' is not supported.
