3716027 - Business Rule Field Visibility Issue in Completed Forms

Symptom

  • The business rule configured within the Performance Forms behaves correctly during the Modify Stage but the configured rule is not working as intended in the completion stage.
    • Note: With the recent 2H 2025 Release, customers can now create a business rule that controls the visibility, editability, and required status of specific fields on a Performance Management form during the modify stage based on defined conditions.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login and Proxy to the user with the form with business rule configured in it
  2. Navigate to Performance > Completed Folder.
  3. Open the Performance Form with the configured business rule (e.g. Change Field Visibility, Editability, and Required Status on Forms)
  4. Go to the section wherein the business rule has been set.  One of the examples is explained below.
    • The field’s visibility behaves correctly during the modify stage; however, in the completion stage, the field becomes visible again even though the business rule hides it during the modify stage.

Cause

With the current system design, Performance Form business rules do not support the completion stage, which results in unintended behavior once the form reaches that stage.
