Symptom

After changing the labels for HOME_HPX_Salutation_Morning, HOME_HPX_Salutation_Afternoon, and HOME_HPX_Salutation_Evening in Manage Language, the Greeting Message display with "..." in Latest Home Page.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Company system and Logo Settings to enable option ""
  2. Change the label for HOME_HPX_Salutation_Morning, HOME_HPX_Salutation_Afternoon, and HOME_HPX_Salutation_Evening in Manage Language tool.
  3. Verify the Greeting Message display with "..." in Latest Home Page.

Cause

The Greeting Message contains an unbroken long word. The current UI5 Web Components Title behavior is to not break long words, but instead display “…”.

Resolution

As confirmed with engineering team, this is an expected behavior as there is an unbroken long word in Greeting Message.

To avoid "...", please shorten or break down the long word.
