Symptom

  • The API endpoint `updateUserNamePostHiring` is not functional in an Employee Central (EC)-only setup without ONB 2.0 integration.
  • The API is specifically designed for the Onboarding service and its associated hire lifecycle.
  • The API is part of the Onboarding AdditionalServices OData V4 service and is intended to be called between Manage Pending Hires and the ONB conversion job.
  • In an EC-only environment, the lifecycle required for the API does not exist, and the API cannot be utilized to update usernames.
